Position: Fellow

Major Responsibility

  • Provide input to analysis of government expenditure and departmental activities on lobour rights;
  • Monitor media reports on workers’ rights related issues ;
  • Contact the media people to get involved them into the initiatives of Democratic Budget Movement;
  • Maintain good contact and liaison with GO, NGOs, INGOs, activists, professional bodies, academicians and expert to have better knowledge on the trend of labour sector development;
  • Assist to conducting dialogue/workshops/orientation/training/lobby meetings with govt. line ministry;
  • Assist to developing research/study paper based on allocated labour budget.   
  • Prepare brief of media monitoring on worker rights, case documentation and related budget analysis report for Safety and Rights Society and other key stakeholders;
  • Prepare report on labour budget expenditure and impact;
  • Maintain liaison with Medias for publishing the report.  

Educational Requirements

Post graduate degree in any subject from a reputed University. Priority will be given to Development Studies/Anthropology/Social Work/Environmental Science/Human Rights.


Experience Requirements

Experience not mandatory but will give preference 1 (one) year work experience in the development field.


Additional Job Requirements

  • Committed as a team player and willing to travel in the selected fields.
  • Strong analytical skill in programming.
  • Good communication and report writing skills in English & Bangla.
  • Good computer skills (MS Word, MS-Excel and Power Points Presentation).

Mohammadpur, Dhaka

Job Duration

Initially for 03 months from March to May of 2018. It’s extendable based on performance & organizational need.

Remuneration/benefits

BDT- 20,000 and no other benefits/allowances.
