He who talks about his rights in the factory can no longer stay in the factory, the owner will throw him out by any means. If one’s service age in a garment factory is close to 5 years, it is forced to resign so that the workers do not have to pay any service benefits. Currently garment workers are facing many problems. It is difficult to run a family with the money that comes from wages. The rate at which the prices of goods are increasing day by day, house rent, current bills, everything increases but the wages of our workers do not increase. If there is any protest, the fear of losing the job. There is which direction the workers will go. This is how the garment workers said. They want assurance of their work. They want a remedy for harassment in the workplace. The education level of garment sector workers is very low. So they can’t go into any other profession.
We earn the highest foreign exchange of the country through our work but we do not have any appreciation as such. Here all the workers are working in garments by learning their own work. Many skilled workers are working abroad and they are earning good income but we who are working in the country are not increasing our income. We may have a lot of hopes and aspirations, our children have a future, but how do we make our children’s future brighter?
We also want to improve our skills, we also need to create alternative employment and we youths can take up all the challenges-
